Alzhemier's disease affects especially the elderly population and its prevalence is increasing. It is still important to investigate the place of natural therapeutic targets in the treatment of Alzhemier's disease due to the high side effects of the drugs used to suppress Alzhemier's disease instead of treating it. In this study, we aimed to investigate the antioxidant and anticholinesterase properties of T. repens extract. In this study, Trifolium repens L. extract was made with methanol solvent by maceration method. DPPH radical scavenging test was applied for antioxidant activity in Trifolium repens extract. Anticholinesterase activity was also determined spectrophotometrically in accordance with the literature. According to the results of DPPH radical scavenging test, it was determined that T. repens extract has high antioxidant power to affect free radicals strongly. The anticholinesterase enzyme inhibition result of T. repens extract was compared with tacrine compound. T. repens extract had moderate anticholinesterase enzyme inhibition. In summary, the good antioxidant power and moderate anticholinesterase effect of T. repens extract suggest that it is promising but should be supported by in vitro and in vivo studies.
