In this study was aimed to determine to performance characteristics, pH and color parameters of breast and thigh meat in geese that rear specify according to 8th weeks of age live weight in 16th weeks of age. The study was started with 478 one day old goslings (male and female mixed). according to live weight in 8 weeks old (light, medium, heavy) after classification was done with 270 geese (female-male mixed) were continued to work. At 10th and 16th weeks, In the heavy group was determined the higher live weight and as to in light group higher live weights gain. The feed conversion rate was found also lower in the light and medium groups. In the heavy group, foot and thigh weight, pH parameters of the breast; in the medium group, abdominal fat weight, and rate; in the light group, the head rate was determined higher. As a result, the effect of live weight gain classifying reared was positive in the mild group. This method could be used to reach the target uniformly slaughter body weight in goose breeding.Downloads
