Applicability of Reliability-Centered Maintenance Method in Tractor Design

In this study, preventive maintenance planning of the wheeled tractor, which can carry a useful load in field conditions and be used as a power source, was carried out with the Reliability-Centered Maintenance method. This method, which is applied for critical systems in the tractor’s, aims at optimum maintenance by taking into account the possibility and criticality of malfunctions that may interfere with the mission of the tractor, on the parameters of readiness for the task under the specified conditions and completing the task without any malfunctions (reliability) has the potential to contribute. It is concluded that the Reliability Centered Maintenance method can be used in tractor design. In addition, the critical parts that need to be handled with priority have been identified and the necessary maintenance procedures have been determined.
