One of the most critical factors shaping plant development is the nutrients in the soil. Iron (Fe), one of the essential nutrients for plant nutrition, is important in plant growth and development. For this reason, many studies have been conducted on the change of Fe concentration in agricultural soils. However, the number of studies on the subject in the lands where forest trees naturally grow is limited. This study aimed to examine the concentrations of Fe in soil and plant organs in the soil where different forest trees naturally grow. Within the scope of the study, leaf, bark, wood, cone, and root samples from black pine, Scots pine, fir, and beech species were taken, as well as top, medium, and subsoil samples from the bottom of each tree. As a result, it was determined that Fe concentrations in plants were much lower than in soil. The highest Fe concentration obtained in plant organs was obtained in beech roots and was 529.32 ppm. However, the Fe concentration in soils varied between 8253.91 ppm and 16848.88 ppm.
