Mankind has been in interaction with nature since the day it existed and benefit from nature for different purposes. There is always a need for green spaces, that is the part of nature, to have fun, engage in various activities and to feel better. However, people continue to live in declining green spaces and increasing indoor spaces due to rapid and distorted urbanization, industrialization and technology. Increasing concerns of the people living in rural areas began to attract them to cities, cities were increasingly concentrated in terms of population, buildings were elevated in order to meet the needs in many cities, quality of life was reduced, nature was destroyed, and today many residential areas were built without green spaces or gardens. In today's humanity, who longs for green and moved away from nature, depression and many psychological disorders developed accordingly. The positive effects of nature and natural areas on people have been determined by many scientists. In recent years, the effects of the structural environment on human health have attracted attention and the concept of “Healing garden” has emerged. The healing gardens have also created a new movement effect in landscape architecture. In this study; the effects of healing gardens on patients with various health problems are discussed and evaluated according to design principles.Downloads
