Özet

This aim of study is to evaluate the level of Turkey‘s agricultural mechanization in terms of geographic regions. Turkey‘s tractor and agricultural equipment-machinery inventories were investigated according to its geographical regions in this study. Data of this study were obtained from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK) database from 2013 year. The criteria of Turkey‘s agricultural mechanization level such as cultivated area per tractor, the number of tractors per 1000 ha cultivated area, and tractor power per cultivated area were found as 77.73 tractor/1000 ha, 12.87 ha/tractor, and 3.34 kW/ ha, respectively. The highest and lowest levels of Turkey‘s agricultural mechanization in terms of geographical regions were obtained as 147.86-27.23 tractor/1000 ha, 6.76-36.72 ha/tractor, and 6.36-1.17 kW/ha in Aegean and Southeast Anatolian regions, respectively. The highest and the lowest number of combine harvester per 1 000 ha area were found as 2.16 and 0.07 and for Marmara and East Anatolia, whereas, the highest and the lowest weight of agricultural machinery and tools per tractor were obtained as 5.65 and 3.85 tons for Central of Anatolia and Southeast Anatolia, respectively. In Turkey, the agricultural mechanization indicators have shown differences according to the geographical regions and also, it was not at a desired level.
